Chewy Brownie Cookies
- 2/3 cup crisco all vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Heat the over to 375 degrees.
Combine Crisco, brown sugar, water, vanilla in large bowl. Beat on medium speed until very well blended.
Beat eggs into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Mix into creamed mixture until blended on low speed just until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 7-9 minutes or until cookies are set. Cookies will appear soft and moist – do not overbake.
Coo1 on baking sheet 2 minutes. Remove to cooling rack to cool completely.
