Barbecue Spareribs - oven baked

  • 2 pounds pork spareribs
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp worchestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water (or more if thinner sauce is desired)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • salt & pepper to taste

Cut ribs into serving portions. Bake, covered, in 350F oven for 30 minutes.

Chop onion and brown in oil.

Add lemon juice, vinegar, brown sugar, water, ketchup and seasonings to onion. Cook slowly for 20 minutes.

Pour over ribs. Bake, uncovered, for one hour.
